Habitat ~
Snapping turtles are native to the nearctic region. their range stretches from the southern alberta and East to nova scotia in Canada and extends south to the gulf of mexico and intro central Texas.
Aquatic Biomes ~
Snapping turtles like to live in fresh or brackish water. but if they could choose the type of water, it water with muddy bottoms and lots of vegetation. the reason behind this is because they can hide more easily without struggle to find a hiding spot from predators. Snappers spend most of their time in the water, but will go on land to lay their eggs in sandy soil.
